MJ2 offers a full range of petrographic services including:
- Examination of hardened concrete (ASTM C856), with thin section analysis
- Examination of hardened masonry mortar (ASTM C1324)
- Examination of plaster/stucco, grout, tile and other flooring materials
- Air-void system analysis (ASTM C457 Procedure B, modified point-count method)
- Petrographic examination of aggregates for concrete (ASTM C295)
- Scanning electron microscopy, backscatter electron imaging (SEM-BSE) and energy dispersive x-ray spectroscopy (EDS) for elemental analysis (ASTM C1723)
- Specialized microscopy of other materials or applications
